ABOUT THE MAGAZINE
The Hermitage magazine is done in a new concept which combines the practicality of a magazine with the quality of a book — a “mook”. It is a miscellany about the contemporary understanding of a museum as an Ark. It is a source of visual and intellectual pleasure for those who understand and perceive art of different styles and the culture of different countries. The magazine contains articles, cultural studies and high quality reports, exclusive photographs and information about unique items which form the collection of the Russia’s premier museum. The Hermitage magazine writes about culture and art, people and situations, high technologies and ancient techniques, ideas and prospects. It is a collectable piece of art in itself.
